Every garden we create is approached as an individual response to place, lifestyle and the rhythms of daily living.
Our work is grounded in a strong horticultural foundation and a careful understanding of how a space should feel as well as how it should function. We design gardens to be lived in, spaces that evolve beautifully over time, and remain relevant for years to come.
We collaborate closely with our clients, and with a trusted network of skilled craftspeople, to realise gardens that are calm, considered and enduring. Each project is shaped not only by aesthetics, but by a sensitivity to landscape, material and long-term use.

Our process is deliberately straightforward. In six carefully considered stages, we guide you from your existing space to a garden that feels entirely your own.

Emily and Jude have built distinguished careers within the horticultural industry, earning recognition for their innovative and thoughtful design work. Their achievements include multiple prestigious awards, among them coveted RHS Gold Medals.

At the heart of their work is a belief that great gardens should feel intrinsically connected to both their setting and the people who use them. Their design philosophy combines strong architectural structure with a deep understanding of plants, creating outdoor spaces that are beautiful, enduring and rich in seasonal interest.

A collaborative approach is central to every project. Emily and Jude work closely with their clients from the outset, taking the time to understand how each space will be lived in, experienced and enjoyed. By blending their clients’ aspirations with the unique character of the site, they create landscapes that are both highly personal and perfectly suited to their surroundings.

Drawing inspiration from nature, they carefully balance form, texture and colour to create gardens that evolve gracefully through the seasons while supporting biodiversity and environmental sustainability. From the first meeting to the completion of the garden, the service provided was personal and professional, informative and knowledgeable, and the final result was amazing. Our views were considered throughout, openly discussed and included in the overall design. The plants provided were of excellent quality and established really quickly after being planed by the lovely team. We could not be happier with the result. Before working with Inspired Earth, our garden no structure and character, with so much untapped potential. Jude transformed it into a beautiful, elegant and natural space that has become an extension of our home, perfect for relaxing and entertaining. Emily was recommended to us by the person who created the design for our garden revamp. We had not had much work done previously and were living with a layout and planting that didn't really work for us in terms of sitting out and enjoying a combination of formal and informal garden areas. Once the landscaping construction had been completed, Emily worked closely with us regarding the planting design, creating an agreed spec and then a plant list, and the actual planting was completed within two days, very quickly and efficiently. We are now really enjoying a completely new look and are able to appreciate from many different perspectives, within the house and at various points in the garden. There has inevitably been quite a lot of maintenance, particularly in the early stages and with prolonged dry weather, but we never expected or wanted to be passive observers, and are happy to keep it all looking good, even if watering can be a pain! We would thoroughly recommend Emily and her team, they were attentive to our needs and the overall design, and then actioned the planting very capably. Nearly two years on, the overall garden transformation has been great!

We can thoroughly recommend Inspired Earth Design Ltd. We had a large border that had been mainly cleared and needed replanting. Emily came along to measure the area and discuss the colour scheme and type of planting we wanted; we were then given a detailed planting plan. We asked Emily and her team to plant this up for us - the whole process was effortless. We are thrilled with the result and, now in it's second year, as the plants mature it is even better.

We couldn’t be happier with the transformation of our small garden, thanks to the incredible team at Inspired Earth Design. Jude did an incredible job with our garden design and overall project management. She listened to what we wanted, worked with our budget and delivered a garden that has surpassed our expectations. Her attention to detail and understanding of our woodland garden were second to none, resulting in a sympathetic design that feels as though it has always been there. We have a lot of shaded areas in the garden but she somehow managed to create a garden full of beautiful flowers and colour - something I never thought we’d have. She has great contacts in the industry and worked hard behind the scenes to make sure the whole thing went smoothly. Jude is also just a lovely person to work with - I’d highly recommend her to anybody looking to create a new garden.

I'm absolutely delighted with my garden design! All through the process they listened to everything I wanted and consulted with me on a few inevitable changes we made along the way. Jude (my designer) kept in touch with me about various plant decisions so we could decide together what was best, FaceTiming me from the nursery! The whole project was a collaborative effort between Inspired Earth, my landscaper and myself - and it's been obvious how valuable that has been. And good fun! I wanted the expertise of a designer with deep horticultural knowledge and an understanding of how different spaces work so that I didn't end up with a 'vanilla' garden. In my humble opinion, landscapers are the builders but I wanted the architect first. I like the way Inspired Earth gave me the choice of a three stage process and I decided to go for all three stages, including all of the plants and trees being planted by them. I've now got Japanese Maples, colour and interest all year round, a beautiful water feature and a pergola walkway with three different spaces to sit and enjoy it all- what's not to love! My little garden has been transformed and I can't wait to see it flourish and develop. A few pics here but they really don't do it full justice... I would not hesitate to recommend this company- invest and you won't regret it:)

Emily helped us transform our garden from an unloved mess to a space that gives us great pleasure throughout the year.
