Beyond the Borders

A planting-led transformation designed to soften a strong architectural framework and create year-round interest from every viewpoint.

The Brief

Rosewood House already benefited from a well-structured garden design, but the planting needed to bring greater softness, cohesion and seasonal interest to the space.

Our Response

Working within the existing framework, we introduced a predominantly herbaceous planting scheme layered with structural grasses and evergreen planting. The design provides movement, texture and seasonal change, while drawing visitors towards a secluded sunken terrace.

The Outcome

The garden now feels richer and more immersive, with planting that softens the architecture and creates evolving views throughout the year. Layers of grasses and perennials bring colour, texture and movement, while supporting the garden's existing wildlife-friendly ethos.

A garden where planting adds depth, character and year-round beauty.
